July 6, 2018:
Today we went for a hike in the Pyrenees. James wanted to just park the car and climb straight uphill where there was no trail. We agreed but quickly everyone was pretty unhappy. The grass was soaked and our feet followed suit. After not too long we ended up finding a trail. At one point we split up and James and Julia went off trail again to see a new high peak. We were in a remote area and ended up in a high valley. There was glacial snow melting, beautiful streams and waterfalls, wildflowers, lizards and frogs. We did not see any other hikers so it was great and so beautiful. As Molly said when we were taking pictures, "it never looks as beautiful in the picture as in real life."
